Police identify mother, two young children found dead in Fremont home FREMONT — The names of a woman and her two young children, all of whom died in what police said was a double murder-suicide, were released Friday afternoon by police.Officers and firefighters found the 1-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl dead along with their mother June 5 at a residence in the 40000 block of Inglewood Common, according to Fremont police. Police found a knife in the home.Police on Friday identified the three as 28-year-old Evelin Lemus Garcia; 4-year-old Estefany Florian Lemus and 1-year-old Emiliano Florian Lemus.The identities were delayed until some of the family’s relatives in Central America were contacted. Man’s death after fire at Oakland homeless camp being investigated as a homicide OAKLAND — The April death of a 76-year-old man, less than a week after a portable toilet he was using at a West Oakland homeless camp was deliberately set on fire, is being investigated as a homicide, authorities said.Paul A. Jones died April 21 at a San Francisco hospital, where he was being treated for severe burns to 42 percent of his lower body, authorities said.He was brought to the hospital April 15 after he was severely burned in a portable toilet at the camp in the 600 block of Sycamore Street.
