Editors Note: This story contains content related to domestic violence and suicide.SAN DIEGO -- An argument between a husband and wife turned deadly in downtown San Diego Saturday night.According to the San Diego Police Department, a call came in at 11:19 p.m. reporting a man and woman arguing in a condo unit at the Grande South complex located at 1199 Pacific Highway in the Core Columbia neighborhood.Police say another call in about 10 minutes later, this time reporting a stabbing in the parking garage of the condo complex.Officers from Central Division and paramedics from San Diego Fire-Rescue arrived on the scene within minutes. A a 64-year-old man was found suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest and head, according to police. CARLSBAD, Calif. -- A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision in Carlsbad Saturday evening, authorities said. According to the Carlsbad Police Department, officers responded to reports of a crash on the 4500 block of Carlsbad Boulevard at 6:28 p.m. 16-year-old shot while leaving party; police search for suspect Upon arrival, officers found that a Kawasaki motorcycle had collided with the back of a Chevy SUV, CPD explained. Witnesses told authorities that the motorcycle rider was traveling southbound on Carlsbad Boulevard at a high rate of speed and collided with the back of the SUV.The motorcycle rider, a 25-year-old man from Kentucky, was ejected and injured in the roadway, police said. He was treated by fire personnel at the scene and transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Sharee Paulette Kitley Miller spun a web of lies that ensnared her internet boyfriend, Jerry Cassaday, ultimately driving him to kill Bruce Miller. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the deaths of two children and the hospitalizations of two others in Lancaster, and authorities have now confirmed that the a person of interest, identified as the children's biological father, has been detained.According to an LASD release, deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of East Avenue J-2 shortly before midnight on Saturday after a call came in alleging children were being harmed at the location. “Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult and conducted a check of the location,” the LASD release said. “Deputies found four children under the age of ten suffering from lacerations to their bodies.” According to an LASD release, deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of East Avenue J-2 in Lancaster shortly before midnight on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 after a call came in alleging children were being harmed at the location. Police urged residents of one neighborhood in La Verne to stay inside their homes while they searched for an armed suspect Sunday afternoon. According to a Facebook post from LVPD, police were “actively” searching for an armed suspect in the area surrounding Damien Avenue and nearby streets, namely Palomares Avenue, Bonita Avenue and Wheeler Avenue at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. An hour later, La Verne police provided another update, saying that the search area has been narrowed to the Damien High School campus. (BCN) -- A San Francisco jury returned a verdict of not guilty for Gregory Bolds, who had been held in jail for five months while awaiting trial on a single charge of felony assault from an incident May this year. Deputy Public Defenders Anthony Gedeon and Gabriella Rodezno represented Bolds, who told police on the scene that he was fending off a sexual assault, but the officers arrested him and never investigated his claim of self-defense. The jury deliberated for less than one day before acquitting Bolds and finally sending him home."The law says that a person is innocent until proven guilty, Bolds was presumed guilty every step of the way until we were able to get in front of a jury," said Gedeon, whose attempts to get Bolds released from jail before trial were denied by Judges.
